FIREFLIES
On I-65
On I-65
After his family moved to Tennessee, Chris Fabregas woke up one night with lyrics in his head and couldn’t go back to sleep until the song was finished.
With no traditional music background, the Nolensville dad wrote the lyrics himself, then used AI as a creative tool to help bring the music he imagined to life.
The result is “Fireflies on I-65” — a heartfelt country-pop song about family, faith, taking a leap, and finding home in a brand-new place.
“I didn’t ask AI to write my story. I wrote my story — AI just helped me hear it.”

A whole life in boxes taped up every seam
A house full of stories and a heart full of dreams
Kids in the backseat calling dibs on the windows
Our old street fading where the highway wind blows
No map for tomorrow just this road and our faith
A full tank of gas chasing a brand new place
Old life in the mirror new life in the air
We packed up our world and we moved on a prayer
When the sun went down that highway lit up
Like the stars were guiding us showing us love
Radio playing hearts beating wild
Tennessee calling mile after mile
We found fireflies on I-65
City lights and Tennessee skies
Grass-stained pants in the laundry pile
Barefoot laughter running wild
Knoxville mornings Nashville nights
Chattanooga diamonds under Friday lights
Where the road felt holy and the world felt right
Like heaven left a porch light on that night
Coolers in the grass seeds all on the floor
Clay covered cleats sittin by the old screen door
Kids out there chasin fireflies while the sky burns orange
Porch lights glowing and the whole yard roaring
Ever since we pulled up the whole fam starts to roll through
Cousins yellin loud save me a plate too
Every light in the yard lit like it's Friday night
Mama smilin ear to ear Daddy finally found his groove
Uncle by the cooler he's actin a fool
Talkin loud and breakin every rule
Bubba you better moooove
Grandma clappin off-beat but she's right on time
Whole backyard laughin like we planned this night
We didn't just move here we found a song
Found a place where these hearts belong
We came alive in that Tennessee light
Maybe home is where God opens up your heart
Where the hard road turns into a brand-new start
Where love gets louder after every storm
And Tennessee nights keep your family warm
We found fireflies on I-65
City lights and Tennessee skies
Grass-stained pants in the laundry pile
Barefoot laughter running wild
Knoxville mornings Nashville nights
Chattanooga diamonds under Friday lights
Where the road felt holy and the world felt right
Like heaven left a porch light on that night
Every mile every prayer every highway somehow
Led us to the life we're living right now
We found fireflies on I-65
And Nashville feels like home tonight
Raise em high let the whole town know
We found our way where the fireflies glow
Whoa-oh Tennessee
Whoa-oh wild and free
Nashville feels like home tonight
Yeah we found home tonight
